How much is the participation fee?

What is included in the fee?
- All program activities, lectures, workshops and excursions.
- All lecture materials
- A public transport ticket within Vienna
- Accomodation in one of our student guest houses.
- Social activities such as a dinner, catered sport events and movie nights.
- Catered thematic evening events and light refreshments during lectures

Do you have any special offers?
Yes!
- Early Bird Discount: If you apply by March 8, 2026, you get to save EUR 200,- on the regular participation fee! More Info here.
- Extra week of accommodation: When joining GBS, you have the opportunity to spend 1 additional week in the student residence before the summer university at no extra cost. When taking this offer, you can spend a total of 4 weeks in Vienna!
- Bring-a-Friend Offer: Former participants of the AEMS or GBS Summer University can enjoy one free week in a student residence in Vienna if someone joins based on their recommendation. More details can be found here.
What is NOT included in the fee?
- Travel expenses to and from Vienna, including visa costs (if applicable)
- Health and liability insurance
- Food and laundry expenses during your stay

Do you offer scholarships?
Yes, we offer scholarships for qualified students in architecture, building, planning, and related fields who cannot afford the full fee.
Deadline: April 30, 2026. Apply early - spots are limited! Please consult the scholarship criteria for your eligibility here.
How can I apply for a scholarship when I am studying at a partner University of GBS?
Students from our partner universities can apply for a scholarship of the respective university.
If you study at one of our partners (see list of our partner universities here) and would like to apply for such a scholarship spot, please fill in the name of your university in the application form in the field “scholarship reference”.
Can I pay by credit card or PayPal?
Yes, payment can be made via credit card (Visa, Mastercard), PayPal, or bank transfer.
