GBS report out now!
The final report of this year’s edition of GBS summer university is now available! In July and August we welcomed 54 students and professionals from 26 nations in Vienna for an interdisciplinary and outstanding learning experience. Coming from various countries such as Canada, Colombia, Kosovo, Egypt, Nigeria, UK, France, Iran, China and other parts of the world, their professional backgrounds included architecture, energy-, architectural-, environmental- and civil engineering, building technology, landscape architecture, urban studies and sustainable building design.
The participants deepened their knowledge in topics such as energy efficient design, urban planning, alternative building materials and circular economy during lectures, workshops and a hands-on design project about the Otto Wagner Area. Furthermore, extracurricular activities such as social and cultural events, including sports evening, waltzing lesson and a dinner at typical Austrian restaurant!
Further highlights included public events, such as the opening event held together with the summer university
“Alternative Economic and Monetary Systems” or the final presentations of the group projects and the diploma ceremony.
