How are the rooms allocated?
We allocate, under consideration of the purpose of the association, vacant residence places preferentially to international scholarship holders and exchange students at Austrian universities and colleges, as well as other educational institutions and recognised private universities in Austria.
We and our partners ensure a balanced distribution of nationalities in our student residences, so you have the opportunity to get to know people from all over the world.
In order to reach full capacity, OeAD student housing will also allocate vacant residence places to Austrian scholarship holders and students at Austrian universities and colleges, as well as other educational institutions and recognised private universities in Austria.
In accordance with § 5b StudHG (Studentenheimgesetz, ""student residence law""), we can also offer short term guest contracts. Guest contracts are also available for non-students. In this case, a higher accommodation fee may be set.
The registration for and allocation of residence places is conducted in line with our general terms and conditions. We carry out residence contracts with the residents for the duration of the accommodation in accordance with § 5 StudHG.
