Review: Public Events 2025
The summer universities AEMS and GBS provided insights into new approaches for sustainability not only to the students. The two unique learning programs also cordially invited the interested public to attend public events:
- The Opening Event "Democracy in a changing climate" took place on 16 July 2025 at TÜWI Auditorium, BOKU University. 180 people attended the event with inspiring keynote speeches by speakers Doris Österreicher, Michaela Krömer, Valerie Huber and Thomas Thaler. Read more here.
- The AEMS Panel Discussion focused on "Financing the green transition". The event took place on 23 July 2025 at BUWOG with panelists Andreas Breitenfellner, Christian Felber and Helga Kromp-Kolb, who spoke to an audience of 150 visitors. Link to recording
- The AEMS Movie Night took place on 29 July 2025 at Votivkino with a public screening of the movie "Outgrow the system" by Cecilia Paulsson & Anders Nilsson. The movie showcased transformative ideas to an audience of 90 visitors. Link to movie website
- The GBS Closing Ceremony welcomed about 80 people at Kuppelsaal, TU Wien, to this year's project presentations of the students and the following certificate cereomy and the official farewell celebrations. Find out more in the GBS 2025 review!
