Common Good Report

The Economy for the Common Good is already an integral part of our corporate philosophy. The first Common Good Report was published back in 2012.
We plan to continue making a significant contribution to a better world, both socially and environmentally.

Quote from Auditor Armin Schmelzle:

“OeAD student housing is a non-profit organization indirectly owned by the Republic of Austria—and thus ultimately by the Austrian population. As a central provider of affordable, high-quality, and ecologically forward-looking housing for international and national students, the company fulfills an important social function.

This report clearly demonstrates how consistently and credibly the values of the Economy for the Common Good are embedded in the company’s day-to-day operations. For the seventh time, OeAD student housing has undergone an external audit according to the criteria of the Economy for the Common Good—this time for the first time using the new Matrix 5.1. The company is therefore among the Austrian pioneers of the ECG movement.

With 461 points, OeAD student housing is classified in the ‘experienced’ category and thus makes an above-average contribution to the common good. In the field of sustainable construction—particularly in the passive house and energy-plus segments—OeAD student housing continues to play a clear lighthouse role, far beyond Austria’s national borders.

This pioneering role makes a significant contribution to raising awareness among students who come to Austria from all over the world.”
